Operas and Roles

Vincerò Academy features 10 operas for which singers can sign up at any time and a brand new Young Artists Bootcamp.

Based on their chosen role or roles, each singer will have a program curated specifically for them, taking into account their current areas of opportunity and their goals within the Academy.

These are the operas offered and the roles that singers can sign up for:

  • TIER A: Susanna, Figaro, Contessa, Conte

    TIER B: Cherubino, Marcellina

    TIER C: Barbarina, Bartolo and Antonio (both roles), Basilio and Don Curzio (both roles)

  • TIER A: Don Giovanni, Leporello, Donna Anna, Donna Elvira

    TIER C: Masetto and Il Commendatore (both roles)

  • TIER A: Fiordiligi, Dorabella, Despina

  • Prepare the small roles traditionally allocated to young artists and ensemble members in the European houses.

    Roles would be selected in consultation with the Academy based on vocal suitability and career planning, and may include:

Program Details

The Artistic Director will interview each accepted singer in order to design their specific program, which will include all of the following:

  • Exclusive access to all Masterclasses, Seminars, Workshops, and Group Classes of Vincerò during the enrollment period (at least 1 year), even for those operas in which the student may not be actively participating.

  • Active participation in one series of the opera’s Group Classes with the full cast led by the Artistic Director or one of our Faculty members.

    Schedule: Group Class dates are determined throughout the year based on the number of enrolled students per opera and their time zones.

  • Active participation in one series of the Recitativo Workshops led by maestro Abdiel Vázquez

    Schedule: Recitativo Workshop dates are determined throughout the year based on the number of enrolled students per opera and their time zones.

  • Active participation in the Singers’ Workshop during the enrollment period (at least 1 year).

    Schedule: Times and dates will be determined based on the number of enrolled students and their Time Zones

  • Active participation in at least two Masterclasses per role, one with a singer and one with a coach.

    Schedule: Each Masterclass will be scheduled throughout the year according to the Faculty member's availability.

  • A pre-determined number of Private Coachings with one or more faculty members. The Artistic Director will determine the distribution of coachings based on the student’s goals and needs, between Music, Language, Stage, and Voice:

    9 to 12 individual coachings for Tier A Roles,

    7 to 10 individual coachings for Tier B Roles

    5 to 8 individual coachings for Tier C Roles

    3 to 6 individual coachings for Tier D Roles.

    Schedule: Coachings are scheduled directly between the student and their coach. Students have 6 months to complete them from the moment of their enrollment.

  • One private consultation with David Lomelí

    One private consultation with Ana de Archuleta

  • One role run-through session per role with the Artistic Director or a Faculty member

  • Participation in one gala performance at Carnegie Hall in New York City or at Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich

  • Invitation to audition to all Vincerò Academy opera productions in Mazatlán or elsewhere
